Not on a call
MaggieHi, I'm Maggie. I answer the phone for businesses that are too busy to pick up. Press the button and talk to me.

Press the button and your browser will ask to use the microphone. It's the real Maggie, the same one on the phone.

Hear her answer as your business

Type your website address. Maggie reads it, works out what you do and what it costs, and takes a call as your receptionist. Nothing to sign up to, and it takes under a minute.

The call you can't take is the job you don't get

Hands wet, phone in the van. The customer rings the next plumber on the list.

Foils in, gloves on. Three rings, voicemail, and the Saturday booking goes elsewhere.

She books like someone who knows where you are that day

Most booking systems see a free hour and fill it. Maggie looks at the jobs either side first. If the new job is near where you'll already be, she offers that time. If it would mean driving across town and back, she offers a different day.

Fewer miles between jobs means less diesel at £2 a litre and more jobs in a day. With a team, the job goes to the nearest engineer who does that work. And if your customers come to you, there's no driving to plan: she books by service, by member of staff and by time.

Every address is checked against Royal Mail's list while the customer is still on the phone, and you get a text after every call: a booking, a message, or an enquiry that went nowhere, so nobody rings and goes unnoticed.

Who it's for

Any business, of any size and in any industry, that loses work when the phone isn't answered. Here are five.

A plumber

Under a sink with wet hands, the phone in the van. By the time you ring back, they've booked someone else.

  • Answers in your name, any hour, and knows a gas smell from a dripping tap: emergencies get your script first.
  • Books the job near where you'll already be, and checks the address while they're on the phone.
  • Texts you the job and the customer a confirmation, then a reminder the evening before.
Fits Starter for one van, Pro for a teamMore for plumbers

A hairdresser

Foils in, gloves on, phone ringing. By the time you're free, Saturday's booked somewhere else.

  • Books by stylist, service and time, and knows how long a colour takes.
  • Reminds clients the evening before, and lets them move or cancel by replying so the slot is refilled.
  • Asks for the Google review the day after.
Fits Standard, Pro for a team with depositsMore for salons

An aesthetics doctor

In with a patient. The phone rings out, and the consultation books with the clinic down the road.

  • Books consultations and treatments by practitioner and time, and says only what you've written about each treatment.
  • Takes a deposit that holds the slot, paid into your own account.
  • Passes anything clinical to you as a message, never an answer.

A motor mechanic

Under a car with the phone on the bench. By the third ring they've booked the garage on the next road.

  • Takes the registration and checks the car against the official record: "Is that the blue Ford Focus?"
  • Books what fits on the ramp, and knows an MOT takes an hour and a service takes three.
  • Texts the customer when the MOT is coming round again, so they book with you.
Fits Standard, Pro for more than one rampMore for garages

A larger company with engineers and a scheduling team

Engineers sent across the county when there's a job round the corner, and a scheduling team forty calls deep before nine.

  • A diary per engineer, with the nearest engineer who does that work taking the job.
  • Morning run sheets, running-late texts to customers, and a day-off code that moves a whole day's jobs.
  • Built to help your scheduling team, not replace it: the dispatcher's assistant now in development proposes changes, and nothing in a diary changes without a person approving it.

Straight answers about how it's looked after

She says she's an AI

Every caller is told at the start. She never pretends to be a person, and she won't give advice or make promises for you. If she can't answer something, she takes a message and texts you straight away.

You approve every word

You read everything she'll say before she takes a single call, and you change it any time from one page. Nothing goes live until you say so.

Encrypted, limited, deleted

Calls and bookings are encrypted when they move and when they're stored. She can only do what she's built to do: answer, book, text. Recordings are deleted after 30 days.

No passwords, no access to your systems

She holds none of your passwords. The one thing she can touch is the calendar you choose to connect, through a permission you can switch off in your own account.

Call Maggie is built to help small businesses grow, and to help the teams inside larger ones work better, not to replace anyone. How we look after your data.

The questions people ask first

Do I need a new phone number?

No. You keep your number and set your phone to pass me the calls you miss, with one code to dial. Another code turns it off.

What if she gets something wrong?

You approve every word before I go live, and you can change anything from one page. Anything I can't answer comes to you as a message, never as a guess.

How long does it take to set up?

About ten minutes on your phone: what you do, what you charge, where you work and what counts as an emergency. Then you read what I'll say and press go.

Is there a contract?

No. It's monthly and you can stop whenever you like. Two weeks free first, and you get a text before the trial ends with a link to cancel.

Will my customers mind talking to an AI?

They mind voicemail more. I answer at once, book them in and text them what we agreed. I tell them I'm an AI, and anyone who'd rather speak to you is passed on as a message within the minute.

How secure is my data?

Your data comes first, but nobody can honestly promise anything online is unhackable. Calls and bookings are encrypted in transit and at rest, and I hold none of your passwords. The detail is here.

Try her on your own phone for two weeks

If she doesn't book you any work, you've lost nothing. It takes about ten minutes to set up, and you can ask anything first.
