Terms

Version of 1 November 2026. These are the terms between Sunny Socials Ltd, trading as Call Maggie, and a business that signs up. You agree to them by ticking the box when you sign up. They are written in plain English.

How we handle personal information is set out in our privacy policy, which goes with these terms.

1. Who we are and what you get

We, us: Sunny Socials Ltd, trading as Call Maggie. Company number 16668367, registered in England and Wales. Registered office: 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. Registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, number ZC118212. Contact: info@sunnysocialsltd.com or 07503 423527.

You: the business named when you set up.

The service: Maggie, an AI receptionist that answers the calls you pass to her, books jobs into your diary, and tells you and your customer what was booked. What else she does depends on your plan (section 3) and on the answers you give during setup.

These terms start when you tick the box at sign-up. Your setup answers, and the script you approve, are part of them.

2. Your free trial

  • The trial lasts 14 days from the day Maggie goes live, or 300 minutes of calls, whichever comes first.
  • Every feature is switched on during the trial, so you can see everything she does.
  • You give a card when you sign up. Nothing is taken during the trial, and setup is free.
  • During setup, Maggie asks what should happen if you have not chosen a plan by the end of the trial: put you on the plan she recommends, or on Starter until you decide. You can change your answer at any time in the app.
  • Three days before the trial ends, or sooner if your minutes are running low, Maggie sends you a summary: what she did for you, the plan she recommends and why, and a way to choose any plan in one tap.
  • When the trial ends, the plan you chose starts. If you did not choose one, your setup answer decides. The first monthly payment is taken that day.
  • If you use 250 of the 300 minutes, we tell you. If you use all 300 before the 14 days are up, Maggie pauses until your plan starts, unless you start your plan early.
  • If you cancel during the trial, nothing is charged.

3. Plans and prices

Each plan includes everything in the plan before it.

PlanMonthly priceCall minutes includedWhat it adds
Starter£99150Calls answered at any hour. Jobs booked into your diary around your other work. Addresses checked. Emergencies handled as you instruct. A text to you after every call. A booking confirmation and an evening-before reminder to your customer. A weekly summary.
Standard£179300Text messages to Maggie's number answered and booked. Customers can move or cancel their own booking by text. A review request after each job.
Pro£299600Customers reminded when a yearly service is due. One follow-up to people who enquired but did not book. Running-late texts. Returning customers recognised. A diary for each member of staff, and a morning list of each person's jobs. Priority callers flagged to you. A second language. A call back when a customer asks for one in a message. A cancelled slot offered to a customer waiting for a later one. Van and shelf stock tracked.
  • Some features need extra setup or another company's approval, such as WhatsApp on your own number, deposits, and invoices sent to your accounts software. They are offered only once they are available on your account, and we tell you when they are.
  • Extra minutes cost 30p each.
  • How minutes are counted: talk time on calls Maggie answers, added up over the month and rounded up once to the next whole minute. Calls she identifies as sales or nuisance calls are not counted.
  • Unused minutes do not carry over to the next month.
  • You can move to a different plan from the start of any month.
  • Sunny Socials Ltd is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added. If that changes, we will give you 30 days' notice.
  • We will give you 30 days' notice of any price change.

4. Paying and cancelling

There is no minimum term. You pay month by month and can leave at any time.

  • Payments are taken through Stripe, monthly in advance, on the same date each month, using the payment details you gave at sign-up.
  • Extra minutes from one month are added to the next month's payment.
  • If a payment fails, we text you straight away and give you 48 hours to put it right. After 24 hours we send one reminder. If it is still unpaid after 48 hours, Maggie is suspended: calls are not answered and messages are not replied to until payment is made, when she switches back on automatically. These texts come from Sunny Socials Ltd, not from Maggie's number.
  • To cancel, use the billing link in the app, or email info@sunnysocialsltd.com. The service runs to the end of the month you have paid for and then stops. Part months are not refunded.
  • We can end these terms with 30 days' notice, or straight away if you have not paid or the service is being misused.

Maggie's phone number is supplied by us and stays ours. When you leave, we hold it for 60 days in case you come back, then release it. Your own numbers stay yours. When the service ends, remove the call divert from your phone.

5. What each side does

We will

  • provide the service with reasonable care and skill;
  • text you after every booking and every message taken;
  • let you change your services, prices and hours at any time on your setup page, and put the changes you approve into effect;
  • put faults right promptly, and tell you about any that affected your customers.

You will

  • give accurate details during setup, and keep your prices, services and hours up to date;
  • read and approve Maggie's script before she goes live, and check any change before you approve it;
  • keep your diary up to date, with the postcode on every job, including jobs you add yourself;
  • set up the call divert on your phone and keep it in place;
  • read the texts Maggie sends you and check your diary;
  • hold the registrations and insurance your trade requires;
  • tell your customers how their details are used (section 8);
  • not use the service for anything unlawful.

The service depends on phone networks and other companies' systems. We cannot promise it will never be interrupted.

6. Limits of the service

Maggie is software. She is good at taking bookings, and she can still mishear or misunderstand a caller.

  • She is not an emergency service. She cannot call 999. If a caller is hurt or in danger, she tells them to ring 999 first. If a caller reports a smell of gas or a carbon monoxide alarm, she tells them to leave the property and ring the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999. For other emergencies she gives only the advice you gave during setup, so please check it carefully.
  • She gives only the facts you have given us. Registration numbers, insurance, guarantees and the answers to common questions are repeated as you wrote them. She does not give technical, safety, planning, medical or legal advice, does not say whether work is covered by your guarantee, and does not make promises on your behalf. Anything of that kind is passed to you as a message.
  • Travel times are estimates worked out from postcodes, not live traffic.
  • Addresses are checked against Royal Mail's list. One she cannot match is booked only after the customer confirms it, and is marked "address not verified" in your diary and in your text.
  • She books into the diary she can see. A job missing from your diary, or without a postcode, may lead to a clash or a poor route.
  • We do not promise a number of bookings or an amount of income. The values in our summaries come from your listed prices and are estimates.

7. Calls, texts and messages sent in your name

At the start of every call Maggie says she is an AI assistant and that the call is recorded.

MessageWho gets itWhen it is sent
Booking confirmationYour customerEvery booking made on a call
Evening-before reminderYour customerEvery booking Maggie made
Review request (Standard and Pro)Your customerThe day after a job, at most once every 90 days
Confirmation code (Standard and Pro)Your customerWhen they move or cancel a booking by text, to check it is them
Yearly reminder (Pro)Last year's customerThree weeks before a recurring job is due
Follow-up (Pro)Someone who enquired but did not bookOnce, the next day
Earlier time offered (Pro)A customer of yours booked for a later dateWhen a booking is cancelled, one customer at a time
  • The review request, the yearly reminder, the follow-up and the earlier-time offer are marketing messages. Each one tells the customer how to opt out, and nobody who has replied STOP is sent another.
  • They go only to your own customers and to people who contacted your business. We do not use those details for anything else.
  • You can switch any of them off.
  • Maggie does not make cold calls. She rings a customer only if they have agreed to that call in a message.
  • WhatsApp messages, where available, are also subject to WhatsApp's own terms for businesses.

Customer lists you give us

You may upload a list of your existing customers (a spreadsheet or a calendar file) so that Maggie can remind them when a service is due. This applies to every list you upload.

What you confirm each time you upload a list. Before a list is brought in, you are shown this statement and must tick it:

These are my own customers. Each of them gave me their number when they booked or enquired with me, was told they could say no to messages from me, and has not asked me to stop. I understand that a reminder that a service is due is marketing, that this list and this statement are mine to answer for, and that every reminder will tell them how to opt out.

We keep a record of the statement, the date and time you made it, and how many customers the list held.

The list is yours, and so is the responsibility for it.

  • The reminders are sent in your business's name, on your instructions, to people you have told us are your customers. You are the sender of those messages and the controller of that information. We act only as your processor.
  • You are responsible for the list being lawful to use: that every person on it is your own customer, that you obtained their number in the course of a sale or an enquiry, that they were given a clear chance to refuse marketing messages when you obtained it, and that they have not opted out since. This is the test the law sets for marketing by text message (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003, regulation 22).
  • We do not check a list against these conditions and have no means of doing so. We rely on your statement.
  • If a customer on a list you uploaded complains or makes a claim, or a regulator investigates or imposes a penalty because that customer should not have been contacted, that is your responsibility and not ours. You will reimburse us in full for any loss, cost, compensation or penalty we suffer as a result, including the reasonable cost of dealing with it.
  • Every reminder tells the customer how to opt out, and nobody who has opted out is sent another. That does not put right a list that should not have been used.

What we may do. We may refuse a list, stop the reminders from a list, or delete a list at any time if we have reason to think it does not meet the conditions above. We may also suspend the service, or end these terms straight away, if you upload a list you had no right to use.

What we do with a list. We use it only to send your customers the reminders described above, and delete it as our privacy policy describes. We do not use it for any other business or for ourselves.

8. Data protection

You decide why and how your customers' details are used, which makes you the controller. We handle them for you, on your instructions, which makes us your processor. These terms, your setup answers and the script you approve are those instructions.

What we handle: your customers' names, phone numbers, addresses and job details, recordings and transcripts of their calls, and their text messages (and WhatsApp messages, where available). We use them only to provide the service to you.

We will

  • act only on your instructions, and tell you if we think one breaks the law;
  • keep the data confidential, and make sure anyone working on it for us does the same;
  • protect it with appropriate security, including encryption in transit and restricted access to our systems;
  • help you answer a customer who asks to see, correct or delete their details;
  • tell you without undue delay, and within 48 hours, if we become aware of a breach affecting your customers' data;
  • give you the information you reasonably need to check we are meeting these terms;
  • delete your customers' data within 30 days of these terms ending, unless the law requires us to keep it.

You will tell your customers, in your own privacy notice, that calls and messages are handled by an AI receptionist run by Sunny Socials Ltd and that calls are recorded. You are responsible for having a lawful reason to contact them.

Other companies we use are listed in our privacy policy (section 6), with where they are based, and how long each kind of record is kept is in section 8. You agree to us using them. We will give you 14 days' notice before adding or replacing one, and you may end these terms if you object. Where a company is outside the United Kingdom, we rely on the safeguards UK data protection law requires for such transfers.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited.

Subject to that:

  • our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in those 12 months;
  • during the free trial it is limited to £100;
  • we are not liable for lost profit, lost business, missed bookings or any indirect loss;
  • we are not liable for failures of phone networks or of the companies listed in our privacy policy, or for problems caused by inaccurate details or a diary that was not kept up to date.

You are responsible for the work you carry out and for your dealings with your customers. You are also responsible for every customer list you upload, as section 7 sets out. The limits in this section apply to what we owe you. They do not reduce what you owe us under section 7 if a list you uploaded should not have been used.

10. General

  • Agreeing. You agree to these terms by ticking the box when you sign up. We keep a record of when you did, and of which version you agreed to.
  • Changes. We may change these terms with 30 days' notice by text or email. If you do not accept a change, you can cancel before it takes effect.
  • Confidentiality. Each of us keeps the other's business information private.
  • Ownership. The Call Maggie system is ours. Your business details and your customers' details are yours.
  • Use of results. We may use overall figures that identify nobody to improve the service. We will name you, or use your results as an example, only with your written permission.
  • Transfer. Neither of us may transfer these terms without the other's consent, except that we may transfer them to a buyer of our business.
  • Whole agreement. These terms, our privacy policy, your setup answers and the script you approve are the whole agreement between us.
  • Notices. Notices are sent by email or text to the details each of us has given.
  • Law. The law of England and Wales applies, and its courts decide any dispute.
